The short answer: the med spas that win neurotoxin clients market the injector, the consultation, and the experience, not the drug or a discount. Lead with your providers' credentials and approach, make booking a consultation easy, run search ads for local "Botox near me" style intent, use Meta for provider video and retargeting, and build rebooking into every visit. Remember that Botox Cosmetic is a prescription drug with specific FDA-approved uses, so keep claims within its labeling, avoid outcome promises, and note that treatments are performed by licensed providers.
Neurotoxin treatments are the front door for many med spa patients. A first-time Botox client who trusts your injector is often the same person who later books filler, skin treatments, or a membership. That makes neurotoxin marketing one of the highest-leverage things a med spa owner can get right.
First, know what you are marketing
A quick but important note on terms. Botox Cosmetic is a brand name owned by Allergan Aesthetics, an AbbVie company. Other neurotoxin brands exist, and AbbVie's own materials note that units of Botox Cosmetic cannot be compared to or converted into units of other botulinum toxin products (AbbVie). If you only carry one brand, do not use a brand name generically. If you carry several, say "neurotoxin" or "wrinkle relaxer" in general copy and name a brand only when that is what the patient will receive.
Botox Cosmetic is FDA approved for the temporary improvement in the appearance of moderate to severe frown lines, crow's feet lines, forehead lines, and, since October 2024, platysma bands (the vertical bands connecting the jaw and neck) in adults (AbbVie). It also carries a boxed warning. In practice, that means:
- Be careful with ads that promote uses outside the approved indications. Talk with your medical director and counsel about how you describe any treatment area.
- Avoid words like "guaranteed," "permanent," "painless," or "no risk."
- Make it clear that treatment is performed by licensed providers after a consultation, and that results vary.
None of this makes marketing harder. It makes you look like the safe, credible choice, which is exactly what a first-time injectable patient is looking for.
Position the injector, not the price
Price-led neurotoxin marketing tends to attract price-shoppers who leave for the next deal. Trust-led marketing attracts patients who stay. Build your message around:
- Who injects. Names, credentials, training, and years of experience, stated accurately.
- How you consult. What happens at the first visit, how you assess the face, and how you talk through a plan.
- What the experience feels like. Your space, your aftercare, and how you follow up.
- Natural-looking philosophy. Many first-timers are afraid of looking "done." Show how your injectors approach subtle, personalized treatment without promising a specific result.
Paid ads for neurotoxin patients
Google search: capture people already looking
Search is where intent is highest. Build a tightly focused campaign around neurotoxin terms plus your city or neighborhood, send clicks to a dedicated treatment page, and make the call to action a consultation or booking. WordStream's 2025 benchmarks put the median Google search cost per lead for Beauty and Personal Care at $60.34, with a 7.82% conversion rate (WordStream). Use those as a rough reference, then judge your campaigns on cost per booked consultation.
Meta: build trust and retarget
Meta (Facebook and Instagram) is better at introducing your injectors to people who are not searching yet, and at retargeting people who visited your site. Two cautions:
- Prescription drug ads are restricted. Meta's Drugs and Pharmaceuticals policy says ads promoting prescription drugs must follow specific requirements (Meta). Ads that center the drug name or price can run into review problems. Ads that center the provider, the consultation, and the in-spa experience tend to be on safer ground. Read the current policy before you launch, because it changes.
- Follow Meta's health and wellness rules. Cosmetic procedure ads must target adults 18 and older and must not contain negative statements that attack a person's appearance or body (Meta), and ads must not imply a viewer's health condition. Before and after images also need written patient authorization, so we use them sparingly in ads. We break the rules down in Meta's 2026 ad rules for med spas.
Growth99's 2026 report, summarized on AmSpa's site, found 70% of practices cite Instagram as their most effective platform (AmSpa), so it is worth building your Meta creative from real content filmed at your spa. If you want a starting split between channels, see Meta or Google Ads for your med spa.
Want neurotoxin ads built for you? We build and manage Meta and Google ads for med spas, written to platform rules and connected to fast lead follow-up. Ad management starts at $1,500 a month, with ad spend billed separately. See the med spa ads offer or book a free strategy call.
Content that converts first-time neurotoxin clients
First-timers have questions and fears. Content that answers them honestly does the selling for you.
Content ideas
- "What happens at your first neurotoxin consultation" walkthrough video with one of your injectors.
- Myth versus fact posts, reviewed by your medical director, covering common worries like "will I look frozen."
- Meet the injector reels with credentials and philosophy.
- Aftercare explainers that show you care about what happens after the appointment.
- Behind the scenes of your space, sanitation, and check-in.
- Patient stories, only with written consent and without implying typical results.
Keep before and after photos to your organic feed or website, with written patient consent, and add a note that results vary. For more on what to post and how often, see our guide on what med spas should post on social media.
Offers that do not cheapen your brand
Neurotoxin offers can work, but deep discounts train patients to wait for the next sale. Consider:
- A complimentary consultation with no obligation to book.
- A new patient welcome that adds value, such as a skin analysis, rather than slashing price.
- Seasonal timing, like pre-holiday or pre-wedding planning content, framed around booking early, not around a result by a certain date.
- Manufacturer loyalty programs. AbbVie reports its Allē loyalty program serves more than seven million members across about 30,000 practices (AbbVie). If you participate, mention it, since many patients already know it.
Whatever you offer, state terms clearly, avoid "limited time" claims that are not true, and do not tie any offer to a review.
Rebooking: where neurotoxin revenue really lives
Neurotoxin results are temporary, so patients return on a rhythm their provider recommends. That makes rebooking the most profitable part of neurotoxin marketing.
- Book the next appointment before they leave. The provider recommends the timing, the front desk schedules it.
- Automate reminders. Send a friendly text or email ahead of the recommended interval with a one-tap booking link.
- Check in after the visit. A short message a few days later shows care and is a natural moment to answer questions.
- Win back lapsed patients. A simple reactivation sequence for patients who missed their usual window can recover revenue you already earned once.
We build these flows inside your booking system as part of our automation work, and our 14-day nurture sequence shows how to follow up with new leads who have not booked yet.
Measure what matters
Track these each month:
- Cost per booked neurotoxin consultation, by channel.
- Consultation to treatment rate.
- Share of new neurotoxin patients who rebook within your typical interval.
- Revenue from those patients over time, including add-on treatments.
If cost per lead looks good but rebooking is weak, your problem is not ads. It is the experience or the follow-up.

FAQ
How do I get more Botox clients at my med spa?
Lead with your injectors' credentials and consultation process, run Google search ads for local neurotoxin searches, use Meta for provider video and retargeting, make online booking easy, and book each patient's next visit before they leave.
Can med spas advertise Botox on Facebook and Instagram?
Med spas can advertise on Meta, but Meta's Drugs and Pharmaceuticals policy places specific requirements on ads that promote prescription drugs. Ads focused on the provider, the consultation, and the experience generally face fewer issues than ads centered on the drug name or price. Check the current policy before launching.
Should I use before and after photos to market Botox?
Only with written patient authorization and a note that results vary. Meta's health and wellness policy lists cosmetic procedure ads, including before and after depictions, among ads that can run when targeted to adults 18 and older, and it bans negative statements about appearance. We generally recommend keeping them to your organic channels and website.
Are Botox discounts a good marketing strategy?
Deep discounts can attract price-shoppers who leave for the next deal. Value-adding offers, such as a complimentary consultation, tend to protect your brand better. Never tie an offer to leaving a review.
Can I say "Botox" if I use a different neurotoxin brand?
No. Botox is a registered trademark of Allergan. Use "neurotoxin" or "wrinkle relaxer" in general copy, and name a brand only when that is the product the patient will receive.
How much does AC Partners charge to run Botox ads?
AC Partners ad management starts at $1,500 a month, with ad spend billed separately. Book a free strategy call to talk through your treatments and market.
